bought a :cheaper printer this time and you get what you pay for with this printer, hard to install you must make a HP account as well. much Slower printing speed than my cannon, over all Cheap, and ok if your having to occasionally print documents unless you have patients and know what you are doing to install you may want a easier option

For all those who are looking a the crumby reviews and skeptical or just need some plain assistance, let me help you and be your personal installation guide. Now I will admit the installation process for me wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns. That could be due to the fact no instruction manual was included. However, there was a QR code scan available for you to find the online manual. You need 3 important things for this printer.1) Wifi2) Personal Device3) PatientsI’m an aspiring studying screenwriter so you may know the important of needing a printer. I received my printer today. It took me about an hour but after it was all done I had to slap myself on the forehead because it was honestly that easy to do after a substantial amount of time.1) You need to unbox and add plug ins. (My package included a USB that I don’t use but may be using in the future.) Please plug in your printer where you have strong WiFi connection. Right next to the route box is perfect and exactly where I have mine placed.2) You need the HP app. You MUST have the app. Once installed make sure your printer is on. Then simply add a printer I would recommend Turing on your personal Bluetooth to help make it easier. Click in the “info” or “!” icon on the printer and it should flash. The app will automatically take you step by step in a 5 phase connection though linking your wifi and etc…2) After that, install your ink cartridges (If included) My package came with a black and tri-color. The cartridges are very small, likely to run out fast, so I recommend stocking up on them before ordering like I did.3) Add the paper in properly before starting a print job. This one was probably the most difficult for me throughout this entire process. With a big paper trey in the middle, I couldn’t tell which one was the paper feeder. I thought it was completely faulty and broken. There’s a plastic tab on the back of your printer. It’s very hidden. PULL IT UP and then pull the trey up. That’s the paper feeder. Putting it in the middle trey and attempt to print will say on app “Empty” “Out of paper” “Trey opened..Plz close” Load your paper and one step down and completed. Your paper should be standing up vertically like a typewriter. And to make sure the printer is fed properly press the flashing paper icon on the printer. Always confirm the status of your steps when the app sends you notifications.4) Finish the alignment process. How to do this? Simply do a print job by allow access to files, photos, etc… The app will notify you that the process is done. DO NOT interrupt it! The printer will print out an automatic QR code paper that you are to scan with the app. Or simply take a picture and upload it. After that you will press “re-print.”5) Print!MENTIONS: I thought i’d make a less stressful guide to help you out. It’s a process, absolutely, but everything works fine you just have to know how to operate it. The prints are actually pretty good quality. It’s not loud like other printers while preforming a print job. It takes a moment depending how much ink is being used for a print, but the quality is worth it. You can print on cardstock paper for a title page, especially if you’re a screenwriter like me. The app comes in handy when changing up the prints size resolution. I will also suggest not turning the printer off, not unless you have time reconnecting it to the app. But if burning power is an issue for you then reconnecting it shouldn’t be a hassle. I suggest to use the “add printer” again instead of trying to reconnect and scan. It’s the the only one that will show up on your list anyways.Hope this helps! I will offer an update in about a week or two.

Changed my internet carrier. Forgot to to change printer to it before I cancelled last provider. Turned off printer for the night, then re-activated printer to new carrier. The printer it self works great for me. Prints everything I need from iPhone.
