I use a 5 Ah battery with this saw, and it works exceptionally well. As with all pole saws, you can get showered with wood chips, so wear eye protection. I trimmed a pickup bed full of live oak trimmings away from our inground pool, some of which were four or five inches in diameter. No problem! And, the battery stood up to the entire job.

This is just another very good product from DEWALT. It did a good job as expected & reasonable price. Of course you have to be very careful when working with a moving part. I would recommend this product to everyone.

DON’T FORGET TO GET CHAIN OIL! The package delivered a bit beat up but all the parts were intact and work as expected. The box did not have chain oil?!? May have been my issue. THANKFULLY, I had ordered chain oil and a replacement chain with the pole saw.Performance: works like a mini chainsaw on a 15′ pole. Prune City! Ran it for about 30mins wide open without an issue. Easy to break down to a smaller version to cut the fallen limbs. It easily worked through 3-4″ limbs.Would I recommend it: Yes!

Great saw. Was disappointed when box showed up damaged and pole was dented but seller mad it right…..first use trimmed many low hanging branches with 1 to 2 inch diameter sizi g. Battery held up Great, I expected to need to swap with out with other battery I had but this thing kept going. Could not be happier with the product.

not a professional tool and the pole is kind of flimsy lessens up between cuts.. Can be a pain on taller cuts to hold the bar off the branch to get it spinning before stating your cut. It likes to leak oil at times. On the plus side it is cheap and convenient for a part time user. I really like using it to clear up low brush and to limb branches off downed trees to make room to get in with a real saw. I wish the head would come off to attach the handle to it to make it into a mini hand held saw for small jobs.

Purchased this pole saw to replace a heavy gas model. This one is lightweight and easy to handle. Has as much power as gas model to get the job done. No more worrying about running out of gas. Battery life is great, lasts long enough to trim all the trees lining my long driveway. Quality product at a reasonable price!

acceptable.I used for the first time, it was great…..once I learned to start the blade operation before touching the branch. My fitness level didn’t allow me to check the length of battery life but seemed to be acceptable. I waited 6 months for best deal at Amazon!
