I do a lot in my Man Cavern. Pictured is the first power tool from Amazon in the front with a charger mounted on a backer board and then to the wall. I do that for everything as I can remove whatever and I have a clean wall to reinsert original screws. I don’t drill extra holes. I had the charger running all slots earlier and the batteries concurrently charged faster than my original single chargers. Two things not apparent in the product description. The first two slots and last two slots are separate chargers. So if charging two batteries, your choice, but I stick with either left or right. Second is there are fans for both sides, which makes sense if you’re pushing that much power. All in all, I’m not having buyer’s remorse on this one.

The star ratings and reviews speak to the quality of the charger and its fast charging capability. However, where the gripe everyone has is with the Toughsystem INcompatibiity. Specifically, Toughsystem 2.0. Sure, Dewalt advertises Toughsystem compatibility, but without a deeper dive, most will find the limitation to the legacy Toughsystem. NOT Toughsystem 2.0. So, for those who read this, makers, DIYers, do not let the design limit what your heart desires. If you have this charger, it’s likely you have other Dewalt, or alike, tools to make this unit COMPATIBLE with your Toughsystem 2.0. Do we want to do more work out of the box? No. But do we stop there? No. Simple cuts on a table saw and you’re sailing into Toughsystem 2.0 capability with your DCB104 holding on tight as you intended. This has been a fantastic purchase. I was originally working with the small battery charger that came with my original drill purchase. I have since bought many tools and many more batteries. This product works fantastic and charges them in a matter of minutes for the smaller batteries. Larger batteries obviously take longer, but are still much faster than using the smaller charger. Charger. Plus I can charge four batteries at once which is a huge plus. Highly recommend

It’s too bad it’s true but using this OEM charger is keeping my battery. Strong aftermarket stuff is junk and destroys batteries aftermarket batteries are junk stick with the OEM.

My only concern was if it latched on the tough system 2.0 I saw a couple reviews that it wouldn’t work on the tough system 2.0 but I think DeWalt fixed the issue great charger, I hope this review helps with the question I had.

When it comes to lithium batteries and chargers, I stick with the brand of tool I’m using. Don’t trust aftermarket. This charger is well designed. Batteries lock in. Nice carry handle. Charges fast.
