I absolutely love this chair. It is wide enough I can sit cris-cross and still be super comfy. It rolls easily on my carpet.

Having had good success in the purchase of other Amazon branded chairs, I decide to try this mesh back chair hoping to find something that would be more breathable and airy on warm office days. For the price, I find it to be sturdy and well made. While I would prefer more metal parts, the plastic used seems of good sturdy quality. The assembly is extremely easy and can be done by 1 person without any trouble. Other chairs I’ve found tricky to assemble on my own when the arm rests have to connect to both the back and seat, but since this chair only has the arm rests connecting to the seat there is no need for another set of hands or any frustration. The issue I have with the chair and the reason I wouldn’t recommend it is that I find it extremely uncomfortable after a short period of time. I’m 265lbs and despite the seat looking thick and initially feeling well padded, it doesn’t take long for it to feel like I’m sitting on a wood plank. Combine that with the fact that I find the size and shape of the arm rests to be annoying, despite their ability to be adjusted vertically, this isn’t a chair I want to use for any length of time.

I have been on a long-time quest to find a new office chair that I can sit comfortably in for long hours. I am a fan of Amazon’s commercial furniture series AND I have some intense lowback problems, so finding a comfortable fit is important. So what did I think of this one?Ease of putting it together and adjust: FIRST! Before you put this together, buy a proper hex wrench set, preferably one that’s battery operated. Seriously. It will save your hands and wrists. SECOND! Throw the hex wrench that came with this chair away. That said, I will add that I have arthritis, so things generally take me longer to do and I can’t always do them on my own. For this chair, I was able to do pretty much all of it by myself with the exception of one caster. The bugger just wouldn’t seat and I needed help and it took him all of 3 seconds. Actual time to put this together was 30 minutes and the box came in handy as I was able to place the base on it and easily attach the handles, then I flipped the box up and was able to attach the back without requiring assistance, so save your box if you’re doing this alone and don’t have a table or bench to use.Larger weight support: Admittedly, I’m not 400 pounds, however, I have an ortho chair cushion (base and back) that requires I sit in a wider chair. However, I can say that the chair base is wide and you can adjust the placement of the arm rests and the back if you need more or a bit less room.Overall: The chair is firm and it has a bit of a rock to it. It is adjustable, to a degree, but if you’re needing more of a cushion, then you’ll need something on top of it for a more ergonomic seat. But it’s sturdy and because the arms sit farther away, I’m not sitting scrunched up like in my normal chair and for those of smaller size, there’s plenty of room if you’re like me and tend to put your feet up on the chair.

This chair comes in a large box with some sheets of padding, but not much. One of the plastic pieces on the stem was cracked due to the lack of padding, though doesn’t seem to affect functionality overall. The chair comes with a hex wrench to install the screws. There is small booklet with pictures of putting the chair together. It was easy to follow and I didn’t get any pieces reversed. The comfort of the chair is ok, this would be alright in an office. However, it doesn’t quite have the comfort I would like to have at home. Coming from a very padded lazy boy chair, the mesh back didn’t feel as comfortable for me. The chair bottom is very wide, to accommodate larger folks. The arms don’t adjust out, just up and down. The included wheels actually worked well on top of a rug. I had ordered some of the roller skate wheels in preparation for this chair, but the included wheels actually seemed to roll better. When I ordered this chair, the pricing was close to $300 in which case I would rather be disappointed with this chair. However, current pricing is a little over half that, which I think is much more of a fair price.

I was able to assemble this chair on my own. The chair itself is probably good for a large person. It is way to big for me and my small home office. The problem is: I can’t return it, as I would have to dis-assemble it which is nearly impossible. So I am giving away a brand new chair.

This chair honestly isn’t half bad, but there are a few things to note.Pros: Nice big and wide chair for heavyset people. It can fit me and I’m 300lb 5’9″ and it can hold my friend just fine who’s 5’9″ and 360 lbs with nice room on the sides. The arm rests can go up and down, but not angled in or out or forward and back. Now, the lumbar support. It’s adjustable and you can get the perfect comfort level for yourself. The chair is well made and durable as well as heavy duty.Con: The seat padding is junk. I almost want to cut it off and put my OWN memory foam cushioning in place of it. I sit on it and I immediately sink to the bottom and my hind end is sitting on hard wood. I don’t like that. I have to have a memory foam cushion between me and the padding because that’s just how junk it is.Overall, it’s a nice chair and I can deal with that con by using a memory foam cushion. I’d just wish they’d thought of heavier people not just BIGGER people. lol

This chair is easy to assemble and only takes about 30-45 minutes to put together. It has easy to use adjustments for arms, back, and height. The problem we encountered was that the back was not high enough to fully support an over 6 foot tall person and he found it a little uncomfortable. I sat in it as did other shorter individuals and we all felt that it was a very comfortable chair that offered decent back support.
